Police released dramatic images captured of the chase earlier today. The driver was instructed to stop by police in Nithsdale Road at around 1.40am today. Police say he failed to do so and pursued him through the South Side. They were helped by the Police Scotland Air Unit in the chase. An abandoned car was found in Milnpark Gardens, Cessnock shortly afterwards and the driver was found near to the scene by the police helicopter. He was charged in connection with road traffic offences. Nobody was injured in the chase.
