A DRUG convict from Cebu was killed when he allegedly attacked prison and police officials during an inspection in the maximum security compound of San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm in Zamboanga City on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.
Police identified the suspect as Ronald Natividad, 48, from Barangay Calamba in Cebu City.
Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Debold Sinas said Thursday, February 4, that authorities shot Natividad after he tried to stab Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) inspector Ave Akilit at around 9 a.m. Wednesday.
“Reports said Natividad violently resisted the search and attacked BuCor inspector Ave Akilit with a black foldable knife,” Sinas said. ....
