A man in Connersville was rescued by law enforcement early Friday after having spent at least three days in the city s storm drain system in an attempt to avoid his probation officer.
Connersville Police Department Officer Kyle Miller was conducting a building check at the FCN Bank on the corner of North Central Avenue and West 3rd Street near downtown Connersville about 2 a.m. when he heard a man crying for help, according to police.
Miller followed the man s cries and eventually found a 35-year-old Connersville man in the city s drainage system below 3rd Street. Connersville Fire Department and emergency medical personnel responded and pulled the man through a manhole in the middle of the street.
