Lahore, March 03, 2021 (PPI-OT): Inspector General of Police Punjab Inam Ghani said that Pakistan Day Parade to be held on March 23 in Islamabad is a very important national event in which the participation of Punjab Police contingent is not only a source of pride for the police department but also the police personnel filled with high spirit of patriotism should fully participate with hard work and full determination doubling the splendour of this event.
He further said that troops of other national institutions and forces would also participate in the Pakistan Day Parade which would further promote national unity and patriotism. Lahore, March 02, 2021 (PPI-OT): According to details, Punjab Highway Patrol has taken timely actions against criminal elements in the year 2020 under its commitment of “Safe Highways, Safe People”. In 2020, 17186 cases were registered for violating traffic rules, 3652 for illegal possession of firearms and 3850 for drug and alcohol offenses. In the case of illegal weapons 214 Kalashnikovs, 336 rifles, 498 guns, 2583 pistols and 82968 litres of liquor, 981 kg of charas, 59 kg of opium and 38 kg of heroin were recovered from the accused. PHP personnel are busy day and night to protect, serve and guide the lives and property of the people on the highways.

Lahore, February 16, 2021 (PPI-OT): Additional IG PHP Shahid Hanif has issued orders to the Regional Officers, District Officers and Headquarters to immediately deploy officers and personnel in field who have been posted in offices across the province for more than three years.
According to a letter sent from PHP Headquarters, any member of the force who has been in office for three years or more in his entire service will be sent back to the field immediately. Such employees must spend at least three years in the field for re-employment.
