A district council enforcement officer here was killed when his motorcycle collided with a Perodua Myvi near Kg Takuli along KM12 Jalan Beaufort-Menumbok, Saturday.
District Police Chief Yusoff Zaki Yaccob identified the deceased as Safli Sulaiman, 47, from Kg Kokoru
Four suspected drug addicts, including a 38-year-old Sabah Welfare Department personnel and a 55-year-old teacher, were nabbed in separate arrests, here.
The other two involved an electrician and an unemployed. All four men were found with suspected syabu in their possession and tested positive for drugs.
District Police Chief Yusoff Zaki Yaccob said the Welfare Department staff was found with 1.13gm of suspected syabu worth RM150 in his possession in Restoran Fervis One Beaufort on Friday.
The second on Wednesday involved an electrician who was picked up by police at Kg Limbawang, after 5.98gm of suspected syabu worth RM600 were found in his possession.
The school teacher was detained on Thursday and the following day police nabbed a 29-year-old man suspected of distributing drugs near a bus stop in front of SMK Membakut.
The unemployed man was found with 13.47gm of suspected syabu worth about RM1,400.

BEAUFORT: Three men aged 33, 42 and 49 were arrested at two different locations after they were tested positive for Methamphetamine, Monday.
District Police Chief Yusoff Zaki Yaccob confirmed the arrest and said two suspects were arrested in Membakut while the other in Weston.
“The arrest in Membakut was made during a patrol where the two suspects believed to be Timor and Bisaya were found to be in suspicious circumstances while another suspect, a Bruneian, was arrested in Weston.

“They are currently detained at the Beaufort district police headquarters (IPD) for further investigation and will be charged under Section 15 (1) (a) ADB 1952,” he said.
