During last week’s Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety, Police Chief Dave Bacon announced a resignation. The chief said Patrolman Lance Balsley resigned from his position on the first of the month. The chief was permitted to open the hiring process. The police department will be accepting applications through the end of the month.

The Plymouth Police Department is up to full staff with twenty-five officers. Monday evening the Plymouth City Council conducted a public hearing on an additional appropriations resolution. Lynn Gorski, the Plymouth Clerk-Treasurer presented the details of the additional appropriations. She asked the council to appropriate $21,843.61 of the Unrestricted Opioid Settlement Funds and $50,968.40 of the Restricted Settlement Funds. These funds were approved by the city council
