A Duncansville man was killed and another person was hospitalized after a single-vehicle accident late Wednesday in Catharine Township.
State Police Trooper Chris Fox said the driver of the vehicle, Dale A. Eger, 55, was pronounced dead at the scene on Polecat Hollow Road. A passenger was transported to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries and was later released, he said.
Police and emergency services responded to the accident about 10:30 p.m. State police are investigating the cause of the accident, but did not release additional information.
Eger is survived by his wife, two sons, three grandchildren, a sister and two brothers.
