Steve Schreurs is known around his Maryland neighborhood as just Steve. But to many more in the Washington, D.C. metro area, he takes on a grander celebrity: Marathon Santa. About 40 years ago, when Schreurs had a thick red beard, red hair, and green eyes, children would come up to him and ask if he was Santa. At first, he denied it.
