this investigation citing privilege. but we ve learned over the last few weeks that through his attorney he s been engaging with the committee with a source familiar with the negotiations that there is a possibility that giuliani would be willing to testify under oath about some topics. but let s be clear. there is no date scheduled for his testimony and he has not turned over any documents at this point. now what potentially would he be willing to talk to the committee about? well it appears that election fraud is the most likely area where he might be willing to answer some questions. we know from our previous reporting that the subpoena he received, the first dozen or so requests from the committee are about election fraud. and it is likely that most of those will not be covered either by executive privilege or att attorney/client privilege and that is where he could cooperate. but at this point negotiations are in the very early stages, there is no agreement and it is not clear tha
he says this is expected to be a status conference, sort of scheduling issues, discovery issues. he certainly is unhappy in that he feels he s not gotten enough production of what the government has, the evidence. so he s hoping to get that moving so that he can see exactly what evidence they have. clearly he s saying that she s going to be vindicated. i think one of the more interesting things here is going to be whether or not there is going to be any plea negotiations here. usually in these kinds of cases when you have foreign nationals who are charged with these kinds of crimes, there s all sorts of diplomatic efforts that are under way to try and get the person essentially sent back home. what we could see is at some point negotiations begin so that she can plead guilty, then get back sent back to russia. but other than that, she ll be before a judge who, if this does go to trial, is going to be the trial judge and they ll do some scheduling. we may have more evidence against he
