Moss Point mayor, wife to plead guilty to one of 14 federal fraud, conspiracy charges Updated Feb 18, 2021; GULFPORT, Mississippi Moss Point Mayor Mario King and his wife, Natasha, will enter a guilty plea next week to one of the 14 federal fraud and conspiracy charges against them, according to both their attorney and filings in federal court this week. The Kings were indicted last June on one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States and 13 counts of federal wire fraud. Mario King’s attorney, Tyler Cox, told The Mississippi Press Thursday that prosecutors will dismiss 13 of the 14 counts in exchange for the Kings’ guilty pleas, but was “not at liberty” to divulge the count to which they would plead guilty and “we will have no further comment until after sentencing.”
