Dimapur, Oct. 7 (EMN): The 9th edition of Pochury Black Day Memorial Cup organised by the Pochury Students’ Union (PSU) kicked off on Friday at Meluri town local ground, with president of Pochury Hoho, Chonpa Jurry, as the special guest. PSU in an update informed that in the first match, Immortals FC beat United Brothers Club 3 – 1 and in the second match Shining Star edged past Shilloi Sporting Club 2 – 1. The tournament is held every year to commemorate ‘Pochury Black Day’ and also “with the vision to preserve, protect and promote our unique identity and to spread the importance of our history (through sports) in which our forefathers had sacrificed their lives for the cause of Naga Nation,” it stated.
