EUGENE, Ore. – A man is accused of driving drunk and crashing into a parked police vehicle on Thursday.
It happened at about 2:30 a.m. at West 7th Avenue and Madison Street. The Eugene Police vehicle was parked there as officers helped with a crash that had happened at the intersection earlier.
When a sergeant noticed a Plymouth Sundance that didn’t appear to be stopping, he warned other officers in the area, who were reportedly less than 10 feet away when the vehicle skidded and rear-ended the patrol car. ....
