cnn s justice correspondent jessica schneider is following this. what more can you tell us, jess? reporter: brianna, since this happened on january 6th, the fbi has been releasing more and more information. they re now saying the bombs were placed near both of those headquarters, dnc and rnc, between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. on january 5th, the night before the capitol attack. authorities have been hunting for whoever placed these pipe bombs now for more than three weeks. today is the third time they ve increased their award for tips leading to any arrest. it is now $100,000. this really speaks to how much difficulty the feds are having tracking this perpetrator you can see in this picture. this is the picture that has been released from the fbi. and now the fbi releasing a bit more detail about the picture itself. they re saying the suspect is wearing a light sweatshirt, their face and head mostly covered. as you can see there, that is surveillance video that was obtained by the

Help us understand this, i was confused about what the numbers actually show and why democratic operatives are worried. what you see here, poppy, is there is a trend that is concerning a lot of democratic operatives. black turnout has not been at the high levels that it was certainly in the days of barack obama running for president. and it s continued at that pace and not kept up with where a lot of white turnout is, especially in the elections in 2022 where you saw a lot of white independent suburban voters show up but vote for democrats. those voters. and that helped deliver a lot of races for democrats. whereas the black vote in a lot of places really was underperforming where democrats wanted to be. they look ahead to 2024 and say, if we can t turn that around if things look different, the candidates look different that s going to be a problem. in georgia, where it mattered, wasn t there strong black support? it was stronger than in most

Basically the investigation that s correct. so now it will be in her yeah. if she finds gaps or additional things, we ll continue to do those particular things. reporter: and so now the district attorney there in uvalde will decide whether or not this case goes before a grand jury and whether or not any of those officers that the texas rangers and the texas department of public safety have been investigating whether or not they ll face charges. one note on the internal investigation going on by the inspector general, seven officers have been under investigation, that s still ongoing. the head of the agency wouldn t talk to us about that. but he said that investigation is still ongoing. of course as i say after every story here, there is still a lot more to come. we re still digging in on our own stories and investigation. so the next several months are going to be important here. we know you will stay on it as you always have pressing for answers, shimon, thank you.
