With another wave of snow overtime at times coming down three inches an hour. with the sun out, the snow has taken a break before it intensifies again tonight. some people are trying to dig out. you can see they ve got their work cut out for them. cars are under feet of snow in west seneca. we ve seen reports of 49 inches this morning and we know there are dozens of abandoned cars nearby in erie county and some impassable roads in the county and officials say these are some of the worse conditions their plow truck drivers have dealt with. what makes this different is the fact, it s wet, heavy, in erie county, two people have died after shovelling their yards and caused a partial building collapse in hamburg. nothing else to do so i ve got my exercise in today, so, about an hour and a half worth of shovelling. i m from texas so it s a new experience for me. now, people are being asked to say off the roads. a travel ban is in place for ....
This morning you can see some people are digging out. look over here, it s hard to believe now, but that s actually a car underneath all of that snow. that s what some people are waking up to this morning. we also know there are dozens of banded abandoned cars on the roads. officials say these are some of the worst conditions their plow truck drivers have ever dealt with, and what makes this lake effect snow different, it feels wet and it s very heavy leading to those two deaths, people died after shove shoveling their yar- [audio difficulty] a partial building block people are being asked to stay off the roads, a travel ban still many place. major highways shut down, parts of them. but despite the road closure, officials have rescued dozens of vanned drivers. the snow stranded drivers. the snow band shifted back over to buffalo, getting another foot to overnight. Jennifer, it s really coming down there. it is, it s coming down right to my face which is very cold right now. can you guys believe temperatures in the 60 s and now early this morning heavy snowstorm here in lee high county. we are actually right next to allentown. we have seen several salt trucks too but they can t come fast enough because taking a look at the roadway you can hardly even see the black top. we have seen cars passing by with the hazards on. people are bracing for today s storm expecting roughly 6-inches or so, definitely a shift in weather today as i said from yesterday and the schools are closed. so we know the kids are happy. we also know that many of the plow truck drivers are happy. we need the snow, we need to work. it s a good thing to be working, right, guys? ....
