LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) La Crosse’s Outdoor Café Program got another extension, with the new sunset date being November 12, Tuesday night to help alleviate COVID-19 restrictions’ crippling effect on restaurants and taverns.
The city’s Judiciary & Administration Committee approved a resolution to extend the program, which the Common Council enacted in July and extended in November until March 21 as the COVID scourge continued.
The resolution, which now advances to the Common Council, also enables restaurants and taverns that don’t have sidewalk cafes or outdoor eating areas to establish or expand such spaces in adjoining private parking lots, in the public street or on an adjacent property.

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – On Tuesday night, the Judiciary & Administration Committee accepted the recommendation of the city’s Planning Commission Monday night to deny a developer’s plans to raze a commercial building at Fifth Avenue and Division Street and replace it with a 12-unit apartment building.
