Musician Jacquie Clay has an important question she wants to ask: “Why not you?” If you have a goal you wish to chase but feel like you’ll never reach it, Clay wants you to think twice. “I feel like a lot of people don’t believe in themselves, and don’t believe that their dreams can come true. Or (they believe) that they have too big of a dream, and (ask themselves) ‘Why should I even try?’” Clay says. “I wanted to take that question but turn it around, and say ‘Why not you?’” Clay, a musician from Hyannis, puts the query to music in her first-ever single, entitled “Why Not You?” She released the tune earlier this month, with a goal “to bring more light and positivity into the New Year.
