PITTSFIELD â Ward 1 City Councilor Helen Moon has announced that she will not be seeking a third term in office, and said will be taking time to focus on her wellbeing while helping to elect women of color to office.
She announced her decision on social media Tuesday, when she said there were many reasons informing her decision.

PITTSFIELD â Kevin Sherman, a familiar face around City Council chambers, has announced heâll be running to replace the outgoing councilor in Ward 3.
âAfter much consideration and conversations with my family, Iâm excited to announce that I will be running for Pittsfield Ward 3 City Councilor in 2021,â Sherman wrote Wednesday in a Facebook post accompanying a photo of John F. Kennedy and daughter Caroline.
âNow is the time for us all to ante up,â he wrote in later in his announcement, to do our part and share our individual skills for the collective good of our community.â
PITTSFIELD â With a third city councilor opting not to seek reelection, the field of incumbents running in this fallâs election has narrowed.
