AN upgraded schoolhouse has been unveiled after thousands of pounds were invested in a Redditch school. Just under £300,000 has been invested in Pitcheroak School in Batchley to provide additional places and to improve the accommodation. The former schoolhouse has been extended, reconfigured and refurbished to create more teaching capacity to the main school. The ground floor has additional teaching space for children with special educational needs (SEND) and also includes associated support spaces. On the first floor, there is a staff area and office space. Work also included the creation of an accessible outdoor play area and an alternative provision work experience facility for post-16 students with SEND.
