As many as 10 people were killed as cyclonic storm Remal made landfall in Bangladesh s coastal area on Sunday night, according to State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Md Mohibbur Rahman.
Cyclone Remal, which made a landfall on May 26, has claimed multiple lives; in Bangladesh, 10 people have died in the cyclonic storm with over 1.5 lakh houses being damaged; more than 9000 shelters have been set up and more than eight lakh people have taken shelter in these homes.
According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, Cyclone Remal completed its landfall and weakened to a land depression over Bangladesh on Monday, the Dhaka Tribune reported.
