CARDINGTON Meeting via Zoom, members of the Cardington-Lincoln Board of Education heard Superintendent Brian Petrie describe the district’s status on the COVID-19 virus.
Responding to a question posed by John Edwards, parent of two Cardington-Lincoln High school students, Petrie said, “Our top priority is the welfare of our students and we understand that an important component of the school experience for the students is involvement in both academic and extracurricular activities.
“Our staff and coaches have worked diligently at following the protocols set forth by the Ohio High School Athletic Association and the Ohio Department of Health in order to create a safe environment for our students. Our athletic director is in regular contact with other schools to determine the safety of participating in contests with our partner schools. We use local, immediate health data to determine the feasibility ....
