Voters: Task force in districts - Minor State Cabinet revamp | Daily Express Online

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor said a special task force has been set up at every district to scrutinise the electoral rolls of their respective areas, following the sudden surge in new voters in Sabah.

KOTA BELUD: Pintasan Assemblyman Fairuz Renddan said the Pintasan Prihatin Squad will continue to assist constituents and address the problems they face.

He said flooding is a prevalent issue in the area which often makes life difficult for the people.
“Pintasan is always hit by floods and everyone will be affected every time there is continuous heavy rain and that floods affect their homes, cultivated crops and pets.
“(It is made worse) now with the Covid-19 pandemic and the Movement Control Order (MCO) imposed by the Government. ....

Strengthen co-op to deal with Covid: YB | Daily Express Online - Sabah's Leading News Portal

Pintasan Assemblyman Fairuz Renddan (pic) urged the government through its several ministries to strengthen cooperation in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.
He said the Home Ministry, National Security Council, Health Ministry and State Health Department must continue their cooperation to handle the issue. Fairuz further said the Covid-19 pandemic had brought various problems to the people all over the world, including Sabah.
“Covid-19 was almost successfully controlled but due the influx of illegal immigrants who entered the State through the rat trail, the pandemic resurfaced, and affected the economy of the people as well as bringing many problems.
“The illegal immigrants threatened the safety and health of our people because they bring Covid-19 to our State and because of this, the borders need to be tightened and enforcement doubled in order to ensure the health and the safety of our people,” he said ....
