Although annual events such as the Shamrock Club s Irish Family Reunion and St. Patrick s Day Parade are canceled because of COVID-19, President Andy Shuman said the club will look forward to conducting events in 2022. Meanwhile, here s a sampling of events taking place in person or virtually to recognize Ireland s heritage and culture. Family events • St. Patrick s Day reverse parade The City of Dublin will host the annual St. Patrick s Day Parade from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Darree Fields, 6259 Cosgray Rd. But with social-distancing guidelines in effect, it won t be your typical parade. The parade s Irish dancers, floats and other participant groups will be stationary as spectators pass through the free event from their cars. ....
Feb 2, 2021 / 03:18 PM EST CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) – Allied Solutions, LLC., one of the Carmel’s largest corporations, bought $33,000 in gift cards from 11 locally owned restaurants. The downtown restaurants include Woody’s, Muldoon’s, Bazbeaux, Burgerhaus, Bubs, Pint Room, Savor, Fork + Ale House, HotBox, Agave and Donatello’s. Amy Long, co-owner of Fork + Ale, said the purchase was much appreciated as January and February are very slow months in the restaurant business. Pete Hilger, CEO of Allied Solutions, bought up to $6,000 in gift cards from each restaurant. The gift cards were awarded to his employees. Hilger said the company has more than 1,300 employees and half of them live in Carmel. ....
