Japan's SLIM mission attempted a new landing technique, and it went face-first on the Moon. The ambitious mission of Japan's Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) with the SLIM spacecraft already touched down on the Moon, but it did not go the way they expected as it landed face-first in their attempt.
Japan and its space agency will attempt to land on the Moon using the Pinpoint technique with SLIM. Exploring new ways to land on the Moon, JAXA will soon attempt a newfound technique called a "Pinpoint" landing with the SLIM spacecraft for its latest demonstration coming this week.
