Demolishing the Uptown Kingston Pike Plan canopies is a ridiculous idea. The facades without the Pike Plan look like every other town’s business district. The Pike Plan is unique and noteworthy for visitors to Kingston. The roll-down awnings are not attractive. Let’s vote on it. Having the 9 to 0 Democratic Council vote on this would be a travesty.
