is getting scrubbed down. the white house says that president obama will sign a new $607 billion defense bill when it reaches his desk, even though it includes a key provision by the president. passing a bill with language that specifically prevents detainees from guantanamo to the united states. jamie mcintyre has more from the pentagon. reporter: the bill easily won final legislative approval, breezing through the senate with overwhelming support from both parties. the yeas are 91, the nays, 3, and the motion is passed. the white house said that he ll sign it into law and then offer a plan to repeal the ban on transferring the gitmo detainees to u.s. soil.
