A local property management company owes more than $40,000 in outstanding property taxes. 
North Pier Associates owes just over $42,000 in property taxes to New Hanover County for its Carolina Beach properties, according to the county’s delinquent tax list. North Carolina property taxes are due each year on Sept. 1, but can be paid without penalty through the beginning of January of the next year.
It’s important for property owners to pay their taxes timely, New Hanover County Tax Administrator Allison Snell in a statement. Each year the County Commissioners set the operating budget based off of anticipated property tax revenues among others.
