Our Reporter Dimapur, Nov. 7 (EMN): Dimapur Police finally arrested Ronika Miachieo, the main accused in the physical and mental abuse case of three minors, at around 10 pm on November 6, after evading arrest for days. Deputy Commissioner of Police (crime) and PRO Dimapur, Bharat Laxman Markad, told Eastern Mirror that Miachieo had been arrested and is currently under police custody in Dimapur. It came four days after her co-accused Amos Ezung was arrested in connection with the case. The police officer had earlier informed this newspaper that the three victims – a 9-year-old girl, 10-year-old and 13-year-old boys – from Longwa village were rescued from the house of Miachieo on October 19 after the torture came to light when a relative of one of the victims was not allowed to meet them. A case was registered under the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Juvenile Justice Act and Child Labour Provision Act, at the Women Police Station on October 31, when the victims’ families lodge a complain ....
