good evening i m dawn timmeney. i m chris o connell. the ntsb believes the train may have been hit by an object just before it derailed tuesday night night. and that object may have left a mark on the windshield. fox 29 s shawnette wilson was there as investigators talked about what they learned during some key interviews this afternoon. shawnette? reporter: well the ntsb se says there is damage of particular concern to the windshield although they have not confirmed as of yet exactly how it happened. that information was given to them in an interview with a conductor. we do know the fbi will be examining that windshield tonight and in the meantime they were also able to talk with the engineer today. he said did he not feel fatigued nor did he report any illness. reporter: ntsb board member robert sumwalt talked during a press conference today about the interview they did with 32-year-old brandon bostian the engineer of amtrak train 188 that derailed tuesday. ....
