The Falcon 10X isn t the first of its category to arrive on the scene but Rushton says there s no harm in it being last behind giants Bombardier and Gulfstream, as it can build off of what the competition started.
Bombardier has the lead on both Gulfstream and Dassault with its Global 7500 that s been flying customers since December 2018. Gulfstream s G700 is currently in flight testing and hasn t yet had the chance to prove itself flying real-world clients. ....

Growing concern over nitrate levels in Selwyn leads to testing

High nitrate levels have been found in previous testing around Dunsandel, sparking fears about how safe private residents’ water really was.
Last year, Selwyn landowner Mike Glover held a testing session at the Springston Hall for concerned residents and was surprised to see 100 people turn up.
Using a professional nitrate tester, he tested 80 samples and delivered some shocking results, including a 11.5mg per litre reading near Dunsandel.
Stuff has also been told of one resident, who did not want to be named, recording 14mg per litre.
The Selwyn district has specifically been under the microscope because of high nitrate levels that regional council Environment Canterbury (ECan) blamed on farming intensification. ....

ITU launches new work to provide a Global Service Code for humanitarian services

ITU
A new ITU standard has been proposed for ITU to assign a Global Service Code enabling the allocation of international numbering resources to a wide range of humanitarian services. These specialized services are expected to include accessibility services for persons with disabilities or specific needs, as well as services to reduce suffering or threat to life.
ITU is the trusted United Nations authority on international numbering. This work is led by ITU’s standardization expert group for ‘operational aspects of service provision and telecoms management’, ITU-T Study Group 2. The group will meet next from 31 May to 11 June online.
“This draft new ITU standard is intended to establish a framework for assigning numbers to service providers taking into consideration the operational, social and commercial aspects of proposed humanitarian services, and creating a level playing field for all innovators intent on applying for these resources,” explains Philip Rus ....
