He started out writing about a subject near and dear to him, the 1864 campaign in the shenandoah valley. The book is called bloody autumn. He followed that up with hurricane from the heavens, and most recently, calamity in carolina the battles of bentonville. Greenwalt started out as an intern. He has since joined the park service, has done a wonderful job with George Washingtons birthplace, where he was an interpreter for several years, but most recently, he has decided to go into alligator land and has bowed down at the everglades, where he has been for just a month or so.
