A jury awarded $4.5 million in damages for a sex abuse lawsuit that took place three decades ago. The 36 year old victim said she was sexually abused by a family friend at 6 years old.
The federal jury found in favor of Julia Russell, 36, on Thursday on one civil count of assault and battery and a second count of infliction of emotional distress.
