The Ferguson of this trio is Pat, a Madison singer-songwriter and former Smokin Bandits lead guitarist. Fans of adventurous acoustic music will certainly know the other two names as well: Tim Carbone is a multi-instrumentalist and member of Railroad Earth; and Elliott Peck is a Midnight North member and solo artist. Ferguson, Carbone, & Peck 2021 Summer Tour

The Ferguson, Carbone, & Peck trio is set to launch their inaugural tour this Summer with five shows in Colorado at the end of June, followed by six dates across the Midwest at the end of July. Tim Carbone, renowned producer and multi-instrumentalist for Railroad Earth and The High Hawks (whose self-titled debut record is due out June 11, 2021 on LoHi Records), had this to say about this new collaboration: “I couldn t be more excited to make some music with these two brilliant songwriters and musicians! It s a beautiful bonus that they are both humans of gem like quality,” said Carbone. “Tim and Elliott really have become two of my favorite people, musicians, and collaborators alike,” added Pat Ferguson. “I’m so thrilled to hit the road with them this Summer and stretch the collaborative legs of this new trio.”

Tom Harrell Tom Harrell has been an active musician for over 50 years. After stints with a wide range of prominent bands including those of Horace Silver, Lee Konitz and George Russell, he came to maturity with the Phil Woods Quintet from 1983 – 1989. For the past three decades he has released a series of discs on roughly an annual basis that are consistently well-received. In 2018 he was the Jazz Journalists Association Trumpeter of the Year. In this next hour of Jazz at 100 Today!, we will begin our series on trumpet masters with Tom Harrell. In 2006, Harrell formed a quintet with Wayne Escoffery on tenor, Danny Grissett on piano, Ugonna Okegwo on bass, and Johnathan Blake on drums.
