Eiger BioPharmaceuticals in November snagged FDA clearance for Zokinvy for ultra-rare rapid-aging diseases that affect an estimated 600 people worldwide. Orphan drugs that treat small patient populations typically come with high prices, but Zokinvy’s sticker price now beats them all in U.S. pharmacies.
At an estimated monthly price of $86,000, or more than $1 million a year, Zokinvy’s now the most expensive pharmacy drug in the U.S. as of February, according to a list compiled by GoodRx. The ranking focuses on monthly prices and doesn’t include drugs administered by doctors.

To help meet intense global demand for coronavirus vaccines, French pharmaceutical manufacturer Sanofi plans to fill and package a competitor’s COVID-19 vaccine.
On January 27, 2021, Sanofi and BioNTech entered into an agreement whereby Sanofi will support the manufacturing and supply of BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine, which it co-developed with Pfizer.

The Directorate General of Training (DGT) today joined hands with Microsoft and NASSCOM Foundation to provide digital content for ITI students and offer them future-ready skills. The same will be available at the Bharatskills portal which was launched by DGT in October 2019. Nearly 1.20 lakh students in around 3000 ITIs across India can be benefited from this digitised e-learning module via the Bharatskills portal, the Skill Minist
