Though the offices of Popular Front of India (PFI) in Coimbatore were closed following a five-year ban by the Centre, they were sealed by Revenue officials today.
Continuing its crackdown on the banned PFI, Delhi police has registered a case under sections of the UAPA against the outfit. Three offices of PFI were also sealed and the FIR mentioned that these buildings were used to carry out suspicious activities.
The ban came in the wake of nation-wide raids on the outfits offices and arrest of over 100 of its leaders which was followed by a state-wide hartal in Kerala on September 23.
