Alberta needs to transition to a Tesla world
Perhaps naively, I think the most important question facing the Alberta oil and gas industry today is, “Why is Tesla the most valuable automobile manufacturer in the world?” In 2019-20, Tesla sold 367,200 vehicles versus Toyota’s sales of 10.46 million vehicles. Clearly, the market is valuing (and maybe over-valuing) Tesla based on an anticipated future paradigm in energy production and consumption.
