December is the giving month, not only to family and friends but to those who need a helping hand. The spirit of Christmas prompts us to drop the bucks into the red kettle, give a toy to Toys for Tots, donate a meal to the homeless. Yet for some, giving has changed due to the pandemic.
For the past 12 years the Old Goats have partnered with Kids Who Care to support the City of Coronado Wounded Warrior Recognition Reception with a public ceremony in November where the recipients would receive a key to the city. In addition, the Hotel Del would donate a room for them, and local businesses would give gift certificates to use throughout the weekend for their families.
