Award-winning news producer and investigative journalist Pete Noyes, a Los Angeles television news pioneer and mentor to many colleagues and students who took his broadcast newswriting classes at USC and Cal State Northridge, has died at his home in Westlake Village. Noyes, who had been in declining health, died Monday night at age 90, according to his son, Jack Noyes, a longtime assignment editor at NBC4.
