Brochu, who was 20 at the time of her death, was out with friends on Dec. 23, 1987, in Waterville when she separated from the group and disappeared, police said at the time. She was last seen leaving a nightclub in Waterville at midnight in the company of a man. ....
Events allowing patrons to browse Wells Public Library is expanding its hours, allowing a limited number of patrons into the building to browse and check out items at 1434 Post Road. The library is now open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday for indoor browsing and from 5 to 6 p.m. for curbside Pickup. Tuesday and Thursday hours are 1 to 5 p.m. for indoor browsing and 5 to 6 p.m. for curbside pickup. Saturday hours are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for browsing. Masks are required. Entrance is through the rear doors and exit is through the front doors. There is no public computer use. All returning materials must be dropped in the book drop at the back of the building.
