Spectrum Health Healthier Communities, Priority Health and Families Against Narcotics Grand Rapids Chapter have teamed up once again to collect unused and unwanted prescription drugs from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Spectrum Health Healthier Communities (Widdicomb Building), 665 Seward Ave. NW, and Spectrum Health Medical Group South Pavilion, 80 68 th Street SE, both in Grand Rapids. The same day, the city of Wyoming and Metro Health-University of Michigan Health will help households across their community dispose of prescription and over-the-counter medications safely and properly. ....

Pfizer announced Saturday their vaccine would begin shipping early Sunday morning, however FedEx said in an interview with FOX 17 they would not begin shipping until Monday, Dec. 14th, so facilities would have time to prepare. A spokesperson from Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids believes they are among the first hospitals in the state to receive the vaccine. Spectrum has said in the past that they are prepared to receive the vaccine within 24 hours of shipping. ....
