As we come on the air, the monster category 4 storm is on a collision course with the texas and louisiana coastlines, and its growing stronger by the minute. Tonight, laura is on her way to becoming a catastrophic category 5 hurricane when she barrels into land just a few hours from now. Nearly 15 years to the day of hurricane katrina. The unprecedented storm is now expected to leave parts of the region under the gulf of mexico for days, unleashing a twostorytall storm surge on the coast that forecasters say will be unsurvivable.
