Instead of celebrating that milestone, Amy Baxter is spending the morning with Rep. Brian Ashe promoting a bill that would implement safety regulations for doggy day cares regulations that could have saved his life. There are no statewide regulations that dictate employee-to-dog ratios, emergency protocols or requirements to report pet-related injuries. Baxter learned that after Ollie was attacked by multiple dogs in October. He died on Nov. 28 from injuries related to the incident, but it was Baxter, not the pet day care owner, who reported the attack to local officials. ....
