Art school black metal, complex and powerful; Brooklyn hipster bullshit, breathtakingly original; Pitchfork bait, unbelievable musicianship. All of these things are true of ‘Aesthethica,’ Liturgy’s second and most (in)famous album, a 70-minute epic of avant-garde black metal. The only thing that everyone can agree on about this 2011 record is that it is anything but mediocre.

Finland, officially the Republic of Finland, is a sovereign state in Europe. It has a capital of Helsinki and got independence from the Soviet Union after WWI.
Finland has an outstanding output of quality Metal bands. I have not found one Finnish Metal band that was terrible, all of them were good. If you want to find more bands there is no better nation to look at than Finland. If you are new to Metal and want to become more involved, bands I would suggest looking for as a starting point would be Children of Bodom, Ensiferum, Nightwish, Turisas and Stratovarius. PS Best part too I m part Finnish, so Metal is basically in my genes.
