Perranporth School had applied to Cornwall Council to make the changes including the demolition of the swimming pool that was last used in 2015. Under the plans the school will be able to expand its classrooms which will enable it to move from a one-form entry to 1.5 entry with up to 315 pupils. The new teaching block will be built on the site of the current playground with a new play area provided on the site of the swimming pool which will be demolished and filled in.
