Lets get right to my first read of the morning starting with the shut down. We are 111 hours awaway. The whole thing could be avoided or kicked down the road a little bit. They began considering the house bill, but defund the health care reform. They sped up the process and put the senate on track to send any bill they come up with a day earlier than previously planned. Harry reid trying not to jam the house, but the way the timeline looks now is harry reid will strip the bill of language and moves to cutoff the bill tomorrow. Sometimes you have to forgo things that in your mind are ethical, legal, and effective because secondary and tertiary effects of taking that course of action main lets take target of killing. Furious this morning with just hours to go until a debate and vote on the rules for president Trumps Senate impeachment trial. Senate Majority Leader Mitch Mcconnell released his rules proposal last night, and democrats are calling it deeply unfair. Senate democratic leader Chuck Schumer says the mcconnell resolution shows he is, quote, going along with trumps coverup hook, line and sinker. When you look at his resolution its no wonder he delayed it until the last minute. He didnt want people to study it or know about it. After reading mcconnells resolution its clear mcconnell is hell bent on making it much more difficult to get witnesses and documents and intent on rushing the trial through. That is when she left her daughter chelseas apartment in new york after having that medical emergency at ground zero. She was last seen leaving chelseas apartment. Since then shes been sidelined from the campaign trail for the last several days recovering from what her Campaign Later revealed to be a diagnosis of pneumonia.
