Residents. The 770foot dam is the tallest in the nation. Officials say that oroville lake levels are decreasing as they let waterfall from the heavily damaged spillway. But water is still spilling over the dam. California Officials Say the cities of oroville, marysville, yuma city, and pumas lake and olive hurst are all under evacuation. That includes 130,000 plus people. There is a plan to plug the hole by using helicopters to drop rocks into the crevasse. Engineers spot a hole that was eroding towards the top of the spillway. Authorities wanted to get all the people moving quickly to save lives in case the worst case he their question were to unfold and come to fruition throughout the night or overnight.
