Carnegie Investment Counsel Carnegie Investment Counsel, a Pepper Pike-based registered investment adviser (RIA), has acquired Crane Asset Management of Beverly Hills, Calif., in a deal that adds about $121 million in assets under management (AUM) to Carnegie. Carnegie, founded in 1974, has roughly $3 billion in AUM, 49 employees and eight offices across the United States. It first expanded to California in 2019 with the acquisition of Laurel Grove Capital, which added a West Coast presence and approximately $250 million in AUM to Carnegie. The firms said they signed a merger agreement April 30. The Crane business, including co-founder John Frye, will roll into Carnegie s existing office in Los Angeles. Crane brings 66 accounts to Carnegie, which manages roughly 5,400. ....
