Left My Wallet returns with one of the brightest up-and-coming standouts on the independent scene today: Daniel Garcia.
The Buffalo, NY, native worked for AEW on numerous occasions last year as well as an appearance on NXT as Dante Rios. The 22-year-old champion for several organizations is a huge NBA fan so we talked about the old Buffalo Braves (now the L.A. Clippers), his love of James Harden and Jimmy Butler, and who he thinks is going to the NBA Finals.
We then talked about Buffalo hip-hop as it s been one of the hottest around the last few years with such acts as Conway the Machine, Westside Gunn, Benny the Butcher, and more. Daniel also talked about what he s listening to from the current day as well as from before he was born.
The Butcher And The Blade Reveal Which Movie Helped Influence Their Look
The Butcher (Andy Williams) and The Blade (Pepper Parks) were on a recent episode of the
“In 20 years, this is my first full-time job in pro wrestling,” Parks noted. “With AEW, it wasn’t just like, oh, they like us, and they signed us. It was like they liked us. They told us they were going to bring us in in a couple months. Is it gonna happen? Is not going to happen?
“Then it was like, we did that, and then they’re like, okay, come back next week. Okay, come back next week. We wrestled in Ottawa for C4. Cody and MJF tagged on the show, and Cody and QT [Marshall] were there. And they watched us and hit us up after that, and my wife, Allie, was already working here, so they came up with the idea to put us all together.”
The Butcher (Andy Williams) and The Blade (Pepper Parks) were on a recent episode of
Talk Is Jericho where Butcher and Chris Jericho shared stories from their bands, Every Time I Die and Fozzy respectively. Butcher also talked about his singles match against Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship. He admits he shouldn’t have wrestled the match because he was still recovering from COVID, and he recalled when he found out about the match.
“I just came back from COVID. I got cleared the day before, so my lungs were still messed up,” Butcher admitted. “I shouldn’t have wrestled that match. I’ve never felt anything like that in my life. If it was a 10-minute match, oh, that’s awesome. It was a 20-minute match. I had no plane ticket. I was sitting at home.
