The Buffalo, NY, native worked for AEW on numerous occasions last year as well as an appearance on NXT as Dante Rios. The 22-year-old champion for several organizations is a huge NBA fan so we talked about the old Buffalo Braves (now the L.A. Clippers), his love of James Harden and Jimmy Butler, and who he thinks is going to the NBA Finals.
We then talked about Buffalo hip-hop as it s been one of the hottest around the last few years with such acts as Conway the Machine, Westside Gunn, Benny the Butcher, and more. Daniel also talked about what he s listening to from the current day as well as from before he was born.
WWE Files To Trademark Ring Name For Newcomer

WWE filed to trademark the “Dante Rios” ring name on January 28.
Dante Rios is the new ring name for indie wrestler Daniel Garcia, who worked last Wednesday’s WWE NXT episode in a loss to Tyler Rust.
This could be a sign that Garcia has signed with WWE, but that has not been confirmed. He may be a part of the next WWE Performance Center Class that is expected to be announced soon.
Garcia has worked for several indie promotions in the past, including EVOLVE, SMASH Wrestling, wXw and Beyond Wrestling, among others. He worked two AEW Dark matches back in September 2020, teaming with Kevin Blackwood for losses to The Butcher and The Blade, and then the team of Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss. Garcia also competed on WWE 205 Live back in July 2018, losing a squash match to Drew Gulak.
– Heel By Nature.com reports that WWE filed to trademark the ring name of Dante Rios on Thursday, January 28 with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO). Dante Rios is the ring name of indie wrestler Daniel Garcia for when he recently appeared on NXT. Heel By Nature noted that WWE filing this trademark likely means that Garcia has signed with the company.
Garcia appeared on the January 27 edition of NXT, losing a singles match to Tyler Rust. The trademark filing for Dante Rios had the following description:
