Arrest made in July 4 shooting that left one dead

PEORIA, Ill. Peoria Police have arrested an 18-year-old in connection with a July 4 shooting that left one dead and three injured.
Wednesday, July 28, members of the Peoria Police Department Target Offender Unit and members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Eric Jackson for an outstanding Peoria County warrant.
During the arrest, Jackson fled from officers after exiting a vehicle.
Jackson was surrounded and taken into custody on numerous gun and drug related charges.
Jackson was then taken to the Peoria Police Department Friday for interview purposes regarding the July 4 shooting. ....

Peoria Police make another arrest related to Jan. 29 homicide

PEORIA, Ill. Peoria Police have made another arrest in connection with the Jan. 29 shooting that killed 31-year-old Jevon Gilliam at a gas station at the intersection of SW Adams and S. Easton.
In a joint operation Tuesday with the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force, the Peoria Police Department Target Offender Unit developed information that led to the location of 19-year-old Dearian Y. Patterson, who has been wanted in connection with the homicide.
Just before 3:00 Tuesday afternoon, Patterson was taken into custody during a traffic stop in the 1100 block of W. Main St.
Patterson was in possession of a firearm at the time of arrest. ....
