STATE PENSION age needs to be reached for a person to get the UK state pension, at which time they can also claim Pension Credit. Britons are being urged to check to see if they can claim Pension Credit each year, in case they become entitled to the payment.

The topic of Pension Credit, a means-tested benefit that is made up of two parts, Savings Credit and Guarantee Credit, was discussed during Live Work and Pensions Questions in the House of Commons on Monday. MPs put questions to Work and Pensions Secretary Thérèse Coffey and her team of ministers, and this included the matter of communication surrounding Pension Credit.
